Key duties include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, changing linens, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, along with reporting maintenance issues, managing laundry, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Core responsibilities

- General cleaning: Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; dust and polish furniture and fixtures; and clean surfaces in all areas, including common spaces, bedrooms, and kitchens.
- Sanitization: Clean and sanitize bathrooms (toilets, showers, sinks), and disinfect countertops and other frequently touched areas.

- Laundry and linen management: Change bed linens and towels; wash, dry, and fold laundry; and keep linen rooms stocked.

- Restocking and inventory: Replenish guest and cleaning supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning agents; monitor and report on the inventory of supplies.

- Waste removal: Collect and dispose of garbage and recycling from all areas.





Additional duties
- Reporting: Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or property damage to a supervisor.
- Lost and found: Report and turn in any lost and found items discovered during cleaning.
- Tidying: Perform general tidying and organizing of rooms.
- Guest services (in hospitality): Respond to guest requests, maintain guest privacy and security, and restock minibars.
- Errands and other tasks (in private residences): Run errands like grocery shopping or dry cleaning, handle laundry, and occasionally assist with meal preparation.
- Equipment maintenance: Clean, maintain, and properly store all housekeeping equipment at the end of a shift.
