Prepare and revise electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, street light drawings and layout drawings in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and incorporate their feedback into design revisions.
- Ensure accuracy and maintain organised documentation of all drawings and design changes.
- Assist in coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure proper integration of electrical components within broader project designs.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings and designs to verify adherence to company and regulatory standards.
- Provide support for project management tasks, including timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.
Qualifications
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
Associate's degree/Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, or a related
field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation or related CAD tools
specifically for electrical applications.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and practices relevant to design and
drafting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
- Understanding of QA / QC as well as Environmental Health and Safety practices / requirements
- The successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual who will assist senior engineers in project work, focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence. The ability to design deliverables against Canada Engineering standards for each stage of a project is preferred and training and guidance will be provided where necessary

Desirable Skills
- Professional licencing within Canada or pursuing is an asset.
- Understanding of other road design requirements (e.g. drainage / hydraulic design, environmental design / mitigation measure, engineering surveys, geotechnical investigations and design);
- Understanding of Ministry of Transportation, Canadian standards and design practices are an asset;
- Familiarity with Canadian regulatory setting and experience with approval processes is an asset.
