We are seeking a Junior Account Manager to play a critical role in managing the company’s financial health and ensuring smooth accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in accounting, particularly in the rice industry, who is ready to contribute to a dynamic and supportive workplace.
Responsibilities
1. Keep the Numbers in Check:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions comply with company policies.
Prepare key financial reports like balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and cash flow summaries.
Reconcile accounts (bank accounts, vendors, and customers) on a regular basis.
2. Handle Taxes with Confidence:
Manage GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Ensure timely filing of tax returns and adherence to legal regulations
3. Stay on Top of Payables & Receivables:
Oversee timely payments to vendors and collections from customers.
Track outstanding payments and prepare actionable reports for management.
4. Support Inventory & Cost Management:
Work with purchase and production teams to ensure accurate inventory costing.
Monitor material costs and assist in identifying opportunities to reduce production expenses.
5. Plan Ahead with Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Compare actual performance with the budget and provide insights into any variances.
6. Be the Glue That Holds Teams Together:
Collaborate with different departments to ensure seamless operations.
Provide support during audits by ensuring documentation is up-to-date.
7. Bring Fresh Ideas to the Table:
Suggest ways to streamline accounting systems and processes.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting through creative solutions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. A master’s degree or CA Inter will be a bonus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting, preferably in the rice or agro-industry.
Skills: Proficiency in accounting
