Responsibilities
- Develop and manage Incoming quality strategies based on the current challenges and establish & maintain supplier performance metrics, KPIs, and scorecards.
- Ensure effective inspection and verification of incoming raw materials, components, and assemblies as per approved quality standards.
- Define and implement inspection plans, sampling plans (AQL), and acceptance criteria.
- Approve or reject incoming materials and ensure proper segregation and traceability of non-conforming material.
- Monitor supplier KPIs such as PPM, rejection rate, response time, and delivery quality.
- Ensure effective implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Strong hands-on experience on SAP QM.
- Coordinate joint problem-solving activities with suppliers.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to quality systems and standards.
- Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001:2015 and E&Y; etc).
- Support current product development (NPD)
and first-time right approvals.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Thorough understanding of Quality management tools like APQP, PPAP, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, Measurement System Analysis, 8D, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects analysis), Control Plans, QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) etc.
- Present regular reports on incoming quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Work closely with internal teams e.g. PSM, CRI, Plants, Service to ensure the smooth integration of incoming quality management processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 7 + Years of experience in Incoming quality management
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001,), Quality tools (FMEA, 8D, SPC, GD&T; etc.)
