Purpose of the Job

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating, managing, and continuously improving technical documentation for Black Box’s product portfolio, with a strong focus on KVM, AV, and IoT solutions that enable our Control Room & Command Center strategy. This role works closely with Product Management, R&D;, and cross-functional teams to ensure documentation is accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with product lifecycles and customer needs. The writer will also leverage AI-driven tools and processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability of content development.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including Technical Data Sheets, Application Notes, Product Specification Sheets, Reference Manuals, Training Documentation, How-To Guides, and Technical Web Content for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with Product Management and R&D; teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects product features, functionality, and updates across the KVM, AV, and IoT product portfolio.




- Apply AI-based content development and editing tools to improve authoring, translation, content reuse, and version control.
- Translate complex technical ideas into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences (administrators, system integrators, developers, non-technical users).
- Study internal processes, drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to create accurate and usable procedures.
- Analyze existing and potential content to maintain continuity in voice, style, and technical accuracy across all documentation.
- Manage updates and revisions across channels (web, print, partner portals) and ensure accuracy across all systems.
- Support the development of control room strategy content, highlighting how Black Box solutions integrate and provide value.
