BackEnd Business Intelligence Software Engineer (OPS)

Metro Data Warehouse (MDW) is the Corporate reporting and analysis platform, in Metro Group. Featuring GCP Data Engineer as database and Strategy as FrontEnd BI tool, enhanced by in-house tools, including ELT tool, DBT, Python our solution has proved to be fast, robust, reliable and qualitative.

MDW collects, cleanses and integrates data from operational landscape of Metro world, thus offering to our users an unique 360 view of the business processes and outcome. MDW is planned to be moved into cloud in the next years and you will learn a lot from this experience.

What we're looking for?
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills especially in SQL/GCP BigQuery
- Mature and self-motivated professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

- A focus on customer service/satisfaction with strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness
- Ability to build strong working relationships and work within a global,



remote workforce Advanced English Language speaker
- Have knowledge of managing and automating DevOps tasks for scheduling, monitoring, logging backup, recovery (using Python and/or shell) GitHub
- Be available for 24x7 on-call support on rotation in case of operation

You're a great fit if you have:
- Very good SQL knowledge, including performance analyzing techniques
- Good UNIX Shell/Python scripting knowledge, Google Cloud Platform• Scheduling and monitoring tools i.e. Airflow, DBT, DAG
- Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, architecture and practice Relevant experience with ETL tools and techniques for administration tasks
- Product testing techniques, best practices, methodologies
- Application versioning concepts and tools GitHub
- Google Cloud Certification would be a plus.

Highly appreciated:

GCP Data Engineer experience or BackEnd administration tool exposure, DBT, Python scripting
