Job DescriptionAbout the role NIndia's transition towards a greener economy is reshaping jobs, skills, and livelihoods across sectors. Green opportunities are emerging not only in renewable energy and electric mobility, but increasingly within traditional trades and occupations through changes in technology, regulations, business models, and consumer demand. NWe are looking for a Coordinator / Senior Coordinator – Green Careers & Livelihoods to help bridge the gap between technical education systems and emerging green opportunities for young people. NThe role will focus on identifying and validating green pathways across trades, strengthening industry engagement, translating labour market insights into actionable learning experiences, and supporting learners to transition into meaningful green work opportunities. NThis role sits at the intersection of industry engagement, skills development, employability, systems change, and the future of work. NKey responsibilitiesnGreen pathways and labour market intelligence Nn Map emerging green occupations, skills, and livelihood opportunities relevant to ITI and VTI learners. N Develop trade-specific and region-specific pathway intelligence across sectors such as clean energy, electric mobility, sustainable manufacturing, circular economy, construction, waste management, and climate adaptation. N Identify green opportunities embedded within traditional trades and occupations rather than focusing only on specialised green jobs. N Translate labour marketsignals into actionable recommendations for programs, curriculum and learner journeys. NnIndustry engagement and ecosystem development Nn Build relationships with employers, startups, industry associations, social enterprises and ecosystem actors working in green sectors.



N Facilitate trade-specific employer consultations and working groups. N Develop partnerships for learner exposure, apprenticeships, projects, mentoring and placement opportunities. N Support the creation oflong-term industry engagement mechanisms within institutions and states. NnCurriculum and program integration Nn Work closely withlearning experience and program teams to ensure green pathways are reflected within the curriculum and project-based learning experiences. N Support the developmentof trade-linked case studies, projects, and exposure opportunities. N Ensure learning experiences remain aligned with evolving industry realities. N Transition systems and learner pathways N Support institutions tostrengthen green career guidance and livelihood planning. N Identify barriers preventing learners from accessing green opportunities and propose solutions. N Document transition journeys, emerging pathways, and evidence of learner outcomes. NnKnowledge productsand ecosystem influence Nn Develop pathway maps, employer insights, case studies, and guidance materials. N Represent the organisation in relevant ecosystem forums and sector conversations. N Contribute to evidence generation and thought leadership around green transitions within TVET. NnWho we are lookingfor NWe are looking for someone who combines systems thinking with implementation ability and is equally comfortable speaking with employers, educators,



and young people. NIdeal candidates may comefrom: Nn Industry engagement and employer partnerships N Skills and workforce development N Livelihoods and employability programs N Green economy or climate transition sectors N TVET and vocational education N Workforce research and labour market intelligence NnDesired experience N7–12 years of experience in one or more of: Nn Industry engagement N Workforce development N TVETn Livelihoods and employability N Green economy sectors NnExperience workingwith employers, industry bodies or ecosystem actors. NStrong understanding of labour markets, skills and career pathways. NExperience translating insights into practical interventions and programs. NExperience working with government systems, skilling ecosystems or educational institutions is desirable. NFamiliarity with emerginggreen sectors and climate transition trends is desirable but not mandatory. NSkills and capabilities Nn Industry and ecosystem relationship management N Labour market analysis and synthesis N Program design and implementation N Partnership development N Facilitation and stakeholder engagement N Strong written and verbal communication N Ability to work across strategy and execution NnSuccess in the role after 12–18 months Nn Trade-specific green pathways identified and validated across multiple sectors and geographies. N Robust ecosystem of employers and partners contributing to learner transitions. N Green opportunities areintegrated into learner journeys and career guidance processes. N Evidence generated on emerging green livelihoods and transitions within TVET ecosystems. N Practical models have been developed that can be adopted by states and institutions. N
