About Position:

The Microsoft Fabric Developer role is responsible for supporting the migration of Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines into Microsoft Fabric Data Factory. The individual will analyse existing integrations, assist in redesigning and developing native Fabric pipelines, validate orchestration workflows, and support end-to-end deployment using modern DevOps practices. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on reliable, low-risk migration of production data integration workloads under the guidance of senior engineers.

What You'll Do:

- Assist in reviewing existing ADF pipelines and documenting activities, datasets, linked services, triggers, parameters, and inter-pipeline dependencies.
- Prepare and maintain migration inventory and pipeline mapping documentation for current ADF orchestrations.
- Convert common ADF activities to Fabric Data Factory equivalents such as Copy, Stored Procedure, Lookup, ForEach, If Condition, and Execute Pipeline under guidance.
- Identify migration gaps, configuration issues, and practical workarounds, and document findings for review by senior engineers.
- Develop and modify Fabric data pipelines for copy activities, stored-procedure execution, lookups, and basic control-flow orchestration.
- Configure or update Fabric connections across Azure SQL Managed Instance and Fabric Warehouse with support from senior team members.
- Set up pipeline parameters, variables, execution sequence, triggers, and schedules as per approved design.
- Execute pipeline test runs and validate activity outputs, row counts, logs,



and expected results.
- Troubleshoot common issues related to parameter passing, stored-procedure execution, retry logic, error handling, and run order using Fabric monitoring.
- Support defect fixing, regression testing, documentation, and deployment activities using Git integration, Azure DevOps, and Fabric deployment pipelines.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- 2.5 to 5 years of hands-on experience in data integration or data engineering, with practical exposure to Azure Data Factory pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, including data pipelines, connections, and monitoring, is preferred.
- Strong SQL querying and debugging skills with exposure to Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server, or Fabric Warehouse.
- Ability to understand ADF pipeline configurations, ARM/JSON templates, activities, datasets, linked services, triggers, and parameters.
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data warehouse load patterns, and dependency sequencing.
- Basic exposure to CI/CD practices for data platforms using Git, Azure DevOps (ADO), or deployment pipelines.
- Good debugging, log-analysis, error-handling, and pipeline-monitoring skills.
- Exposure to ADF-to-Fabric migration or similar cloud data platform modernization work will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work with senior engineers,



follow technical design documents, and deliver quality outputs within agreed timelines.
- Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate or Azure Data Engineer Associate will be an added advantage.
