About the Role
Key Success Factors for the Role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field with 2–3 years of
experience in revenue accounting, preferably in the hotel, hospitality, travel, or service
industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, revenue recognition, financial reporting,
budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Microsoft Excel, and SQL, with the ability
to analyze financial data and generate meaningful insights.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with strong
attention to detail, follow-up abilities, and the capability to prioritize tasks and meet
deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification & Experience
What will you be doing
Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with
International Accounting Standards (IAS/IFRS) and industry-specific accounting
regulations. Review contracts, commercial agreements, and bookings to ensure revenue
is recorded correctly and in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audits by preparing and providing
financial data, supporting documentation, and explanations related to revenue
transactions. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and
statutory requirements.
Systems & Process Management: Utilize accounting systems and ERP platforms to
manage revenue-related data, perform reconciliations, and generate financial reports.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance
the efficiency of revenue accounting operations.
Financial Analysis: Analyze revenue trends, profitability,
and financial performance to
identify risks, cost optimization opportunities, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to management to support informed
decision-making.
GST Invoice Management: Coordinate with hotel partners and internal stakeholders to
ensure timely receipt of GST invoices and supporting documentation. Verify invoice
accuracy, including GST classification, applicable tax rates, and compliance with
statutory regulations.
Documentation & Record Management: Maintain accurate and well-organized records
of GST invoices, receipts, reconciliations, and related documentation. Ensure records are
retained in accordance with statutory requirements and are readily available for audits
and compliance reviews.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hotel partners,
vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and timely
resolution of GST- and revenue-related queries or discrepancies.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely, accurate, and insightful revenue reports for
management, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities, ensuring adherence to reporting
timelines and compliance standards.
