n Position Summary
n We are looking for a qualified and experienced English Teacher to teach students in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The candidate should be well-versed in the IB curriculum, with a deep understanding of IB philosophy, inquiry-based teaching, and student-centered learning.
n Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic & Curriculum
n n Deliver engaging and rigorous English lessons aligned with MYP/DP standards and objectives.
n Design and complete unit plans, lesson plans, and assessment tasks in alignment with IB guidelines.
n Assess student work using MYP/DP criteria; maintain accurate records of formative and summative assessments.
n Support student development through regular feedback, reflection activities, and portfolio building.
n Provide support for students with diverse learning needs through differentiated instruction and remediation.
n n Collaboration & Communication
n n Participate in collaborative planning meetings and school events including assemblies, open houses, and parent-teacher conferences.
n Communicate regularly with parents, counselors, and coordinators regarding student progress.
n Act as a mentor or supervisor for Extended Essay (DP)



or Community Project (MYP), as applicable.
n n Professionalism
n n Actively engage in professional development and IB training opportunities; stay updated with IB documentation and policies.
n Maintain professionalism in appearance, behavior, and communication; model positive values and ethics for students.
n Demonstrate teamwork, respect, and a constructive approach to resolving conflicts.
n n Administrative & Co-curricular
n n Participate in school activities beyond the classroom, including clubs, school teams, duty supervision, and school events.
n Provide timely grades, reports, and comments on student progress per academic deadlines.
n Use technology platforms such as ManageBac, PowerSchool, Gradebook, and other school tools efficiently.
n Prepare and provide recommendation letters for students as required.
n n Qualifications
n n Bachelor's/Master's Degree in English Literature or a related field.
n IB certified training in MYP/DP English (preferred).
n Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in an IB school.
n Strong understanding of IB philosophy and assessment criteria.
n Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n Ability to integrate technology into teaching and learning.
