The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy India Development Centre (IDC) is a research and development facility with around 500 R&D; engineers, specialists, and experts, who focus on creating and sustaining digital solutions, current products and technology. This includes product integration, testing, cybersecurity, and certification. The India Development Centre is situated in Chennai and Bangalore. IDC collaborates with the R&D; and Research centers of Hitachi Energy, which are spread across more than 15 locations throughout 12 countries. In the past 20 years, IDC has secured more than 200 international papers and 150+ patents. Responsible to conduct and manage product development, type tests and design improvements related to Electrical aspects of product design,



across the G&PQSS; range to ensure the product portfolio remains at the forefront of technology. Including but not limited to performance improvements, cost reductions, increased manufacturability, and new application/new market developments.

How you’ll make an impact:
- Responsible for leading R&D; activities. Collaborate with the team to design and develop electrical systems and products. For designing, hands-on experience of software like DS-E3 is one of the advantageous requirements.
- Integrate electrical components and systems and conduct testing to ensure functionality and performance. To be willing to learn electrical complex systems and passionate about working with cutting edge technology.
- Work closely with product line cross functional teams located across geographical regions. This includes functions such as SCM, manufacturing/production, service, engineering, sales, project management, product management.
