We are seeking a Senior Analyst (fixed-term) to join the Air Quality Policy and
Outreach team and contribute to emission inventory development, techno-economic
analysis, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

* Collect and analyse datasets from government sources, field surveys, and
stakeholder consultations.
* Develop bottom-up emission inventories across all sectors.
* Apply basic GIS knowledge in the context of air pollution emission
inventories; independently use QGIS to generate gridded emission inventory maps
at city and hyperlocal scales.
* Assist with, and where possible lead, field surveys for transport emission
inventories.
* Conduct policy gap analysis and assess drivers of policy change through
literature review and stakeholder engagement.
* Participate in relevant conferences, workshops, and training programmes to
strengthen the understanding of air pollution risks.
* Contribute to multidisciplinary projects, including proposal development,
report writing, and project execution.
* Support the Air Quality sector’s capacity-building programmes.




* Develop air quality indicators relevant to Indian contexts, working closely
with the Atmospheric Composition Observations and Modelling teams.
* Prepare documentation and technical reports.

Qualifications

* Master’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering,
chemistry, or atmospheric sciences.
* Master’s degree in public policy may be considered, provided the candidate
has a minimum of 3 years’ experience in air quality management within a leading
research organisation.

Skill Set

* Well versed in NCAP, city action plans, XV Finance Commission reporting,
and air quality management and policy in India.
* Expertise in financial modelling and techno-economic assessment will be an
advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency
in Kannada, Odia, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi (Gurmukhi), or another regional
language will be an advantage.
