A Senior Loan Functional Consultant plays a vital role in the financial services ecosystem, acting as the bridge between business requirements and technology solutions in the lending domain. Their responsibilities span across the entire loan lifecycle—from origination to servicing and closure—ensuring that systems are configured to meet operational, regulatory, and strategic goals. This role demands a blend of domain expertise, technical fluency, analytical thinking, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities
1. Understand client needs in commercial or consumer lending and translate them into system functionalities. Loans Scheduling, SMA and NPA processing and its charging should be known in detail.
2. Customize loan management systems to meet operational and compliance standards.
3. Lead full-cycle implementations including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
4. Align loan processes with financial regulations and internal policies.
5. Work with developers, analysts,



and stakeholders to deliver seamless loan solutions.
Functional Responsibilities

2. Configure Loan Platforms: Customize loan management systems (e.g., Loan IQ, Oracle Financials, D365 F&O;) to meet operational and compliance standards.
3. Support End-to-End Implementation: Lead full-cycle implementations including requirement gathering, solution design, testing, and deployment.
4. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Align loan processes with financial regulations and internal policies.
5. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver seamless loan solutions.
6. Provide Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot issues, optimize batch jobs, and maintain data integrity within loan platforms.
