n About the Role
n Chandigarh University is seeking an experienced and performance-driven Deputy Manager – Counseling to lead admissions and tele-counseling operations. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership capabilities, a proven track record in admissions or inside sales, and the ability to drive team performance, student conversions, and revenue growth.
n Key Responsibilities
n Team Leadership & Performance Management
n n Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30–70 Tele-Counselors.
n Establish performance benchmarks and ensure achievement of admissions targets.
n Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team development initiatives.
n Foster employee engagement and drive retention strategies.
n n Admissions & Revenue Management
n n Drive admissions conversions and revenue generation through effective counseling strategies.
n Monitor and optimize lead conversion rates and admissions funnel performance.
n Ensure timely follow-up and closure of prospective student inquiries.
n Develop and execute strategies to achieve enrollment objectives.
n n Operations Management
n n Oversee daily tele-counseling operations and productivity metrics.
n Manage lead allocation, call distribution, and workflow efficiency.




n Ensure compliance with organizational processes, quality standards, and best practices.
n Continuously improve operational effectiveness and turnaround times.
n n Training & Development
n n Coach team members on counseling techniques, objection handling, and sales excellence.
n Identify training needs and conduct capability-building initiatives.
n Develop future leaders through structured mentoring and succession planning.
n n MIS & Analytics
n n Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conversion metrics, and revenue performance.
n Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
n Utilize data-driven insights to improve decision-making and business outcomes.

n n Graduate in any discipline.
n Minimum 6 years of experience in Tele-Counseling, Admissions, Inside Sales, Telesales, or Call Center Operations.
n Proven experience managing teams of 30–70 members.
n Solid understanding of admissions processes, lead management, and conversion strategies.
n Expertise in CRM systems, performance management, and reporting.
n Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
n Prior experience in the Education, University, or EdTech sector will be preferred.
