n 1. Risk Assessment & Analysis
n ● Evaluate Group Metrics: Analyze group census data, age demographics, and historical claims experience to identify and quantify potential risk exposures.
n ● Predictive Modeling: Utilize statistical data to forecast future utilization trends and claim behaviors for prospective and renewing groups.
n 2. Quote Preparation & Structuring
n ● Collaborative Pricing: Design and construct tailored benefit quotes based on specific requirements communicated by the Sales Single Point of Contact (SPOC).
n ● Financial Alignment: Ensure the pricing structure balances competitiveness in the market with the company's profitability goals.
n 3. Data Management & Administration
n ● Underwriting Governance: Maintain precise and organized underwriting files.
n ● CRM Hygiene: Consistently log activities, quote versions, and risk decisions within the CRM system to ensure data integrity across departments.
n 4. Compliance
n ● Policy Adherence: Guarantee that all generated quotes strictly comply with internal underwriting guidelines and risk appetites.
n ● Efficiency: Manage workflow effectively to meet or exceed established Turnaround Times (TAT).
n 5. Stakeholder Communication
n ● Strategic Insights: Partner with the Sales SPOC by providing clear, data-driven insights into the group's risk profile.
n ● Pricing Justification:
Articulate the rationale behind specific pricing decisions and rate adjustments to support the sales team in client negotiations.
n REQUIREMENTS:
n ● Option 1 (Experienced): Minimum 1 year of direct experience in Group Health Underwriting.
n ● Option 2 (Academic Background): B.Sc. in Actuarial Science (fresh graduates with a strong numerical foundation are welcome).
n ● Option 3 (Career Switch): Experienced medical claims processing professionals with strong technical knowledge who want to transition into underwriting.
n TECHNICAL & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

n ● Software Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, data sorting) and MS Word.
