Description

The candidate will be required to demonstrate:

- Extensive industry experience of working on civil design projects, ideally at airports;
- Experience in 3D modelling, design coordination and delivery using a range of Autodesk software packages on civils and aviation projects;
- Ability to set up project seed files, template files, custom worksets and cells;
- Strong ability in engineering drawing preparation and construction detailing;
- Ability to challenge and contribute to engineering detailing;
- Ensure compliance with the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) within the project modelling team;
- Proficient use of Autodesk software, including Civil 3D, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Navisworks;
- Experience working with CDE platforms such as Bentley ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud;
- Coordinate Civil 3D and 2D modelling services for airfield projects, including ground profile modelling, below ground services modelling and clash detection, generation of schedules and material and quantity take-offs;
- Actively participate in the design and provide input to the design team throughout the design process;
- Reviewing drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards;
- Ensuring that delivery is achieved in accordance with the company's management systems, including CAD/BIM Standards, Health and Safety, project and risk management;
- Review, implement and contribute to the development of our CAD/BIM standards and modelling delivery process;
- Working knowledge of BIM standards such as PAS 1192 and BS EN ISO 19650;
- Implement the technical quality requirements, address the project brief and meet client deadlines.

The successful candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced in Civil 3D modelling of civil infrastructure projects and ideally have previous experience of airfield or airport projects.

Minimum Requirements

- Extensive experience in civil infrastructure 3D modelling experience using Civil 3D;
- Knowledge of airfield engineering and experience of working on airport projects;
- Experience with international airfield design standards;
- Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Autodesk Construction Cloud;
- Detail-oriented and highly organised;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Strong sense of commitment to BIM standards and procedures;
- Ability to prioritise and respond to the needs of multiple projects and managers;
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to technical and non-technical audiences;
- Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritisation of responsibilities in a dynamic work workplace;
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of the software Revit is desirable but not essential.
- HNC/HND/Degree in engineering or an associated engineering field.
