To provide technical drafting support to the
Middle East Power & Energy business in the
field of engineering

The range of activities includes:

1. Preparation and development of engineering deliverables including Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), P&ID;, Loop Drawings, Cable Block Diagrams, Plant Layouts, Cable Routing and Switchgear Configurations using 2D and 3D design software.
2. Development of detailed engineering drawings such as Land Utilization Plans, Elevations, Above & Below Ground Conduit Layouts, Grounding Layouts, Lighting & Lightning Protection Layouts and Bill of Materials.
3. Coordination of engineering and design activities with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Networks and Transmission Line disciplines.
4. Preparation and revision of engineering drawings from sketches, mark-ups and conceptual layouts.
5. Support project execution through compliance with company and client drafting standards, procedures and specifications.
6. Participation in design reviews, client meetings and multidisciplinary coordination activities.
7. Contribution to design process improvements, workflow enhancement initiatives and implementation of new technologies.

Responsibilities

Preparation and development of engineering drawings and design documentation for energy and
infrastructure projects.
 Produce detailed layouts, schematics and construction drawings in accordance
with project requirements and applicable standards.
 Develop grounding, lighting, lightning protection and conduit routing layouts along with associated design details.
 Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and other project documentation.




 Coordinate design activities with Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and other engineering disciplines.
 Support project teams in achieving design milestones and submission schedules.
 Participate in design review meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
 Ensure compliance with company quality standards, drafting practices and client requirements.
 Review and update existing engineering drawings and documentation as required.
 Perform periodic quality checks on drawings prepared by engineers and designers.
 Collaborate with global and regional offices on project delivery activities.
 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and technicians.

 Identify opportunities for improving design workflows, tools and project execution processes.
 Proactively resolve design coordination issues and support multidisciplinary problem-solving.
 Participate in organizational training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Competencies / Skills
Mandatory Skills
 Experience in preparation of Engineering design and drafting deliverables.
 Robust knowledge of engineering drawing standards and drafting practices.
 Experience in cable routing, electrical layouts,



grounding systems and switchgear configuration drawings.
 Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
 Knowledge of engineering design software and drafting tools.

Qualifications

 Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
 Relevant experience in engineering design and drafting projects.
 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
 Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
 Self-motivated professional with willingness to learn and develop within the engineering field.
