As the Deputy Manager - Maintenance within our Automotive Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will include the proficient application of Analytical QC Tools and adherence to standards such as ISO to drive quality improvements. You will lead initiatives such as Kaizens and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to enhance operational efficiency and implement robust problem-solving methodologies including QC Story, MFMEA, CBM, TBM, and comprehensive Root Cause Analysis.
Key duties encompass troubleshooting and repairing Mechanical Power Presses and EOT cranes, alongside maintaining Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems integral to press operations. Precision checks such as verifying and correcting the parallelism and perpendicularity of presses will be a regular task to uphold production standards.
Maintaining compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements within your scope is essential.
You will oversee preventive maintenance regimes, monitor uptime metrics (P.M. Uptime, MTTR, MTBF) for Tryout and Spotting Presses as well as CNC Machines, ensuring minimised downtime and maximised productivity.
Your role extends to controlling and monitoring maintenance activities of utilities like Overhead Cranes, DG Sets, Compressors, and Forklifts. Active planning and management of spare parts inventory will be crucial to avoid production interruptions.
Additionally, you will champion the implementation and continual improvement of TPM PM Pillar activities, fostering a culture of Total Productive Maintenance across teams. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop maintenance strategies aligned with business goals and sustainability principles.
