- Scrutinize Manuscripts: the editor has to read a manuscript from buyers point of view and decide if it will make positive content
- Networking: an individual may have to approach the authors to discuss manuscripts ,and also apart from acquiring manuscripts, must also try to acquire new authors as well
- Project Management :once the organization will decide to publish a book, the editor shall prepare project specifications including the estimated time and cost for publication
- Provide developmental editing to strengthen books in their quality ,tone, theological reliability
- Suggest changes for manuscript to make the content more captivating and easy to understand
- Research and prepare statistics for market trends and prioritize publication of manuscripts that best suit the current market trends
- Travel as needed for conferences ,events
- Work closely with authors ,shared editorial assistant, to ensure manuscripts are of high quality, well prepared and meet market expectations
- Responsibility for author relationships and retention

Skills and Qualifications:




- Experience as an Acquistion editor or related editorial publishing experience
- Good written/verbal communication skills ,strong organizational skills ,be self motivating and result driven
- Must be willing and able to travel to conferences and events
- Interest in growing acquisitions with a passion of publishing
- Bachelors degree in Science discipline
