n Role Responsibilities:
n 5–8+ years in security engineering/operations with hands‐on in M365 Defender Email security, and AD security (Varonis)
n Email Threat Monitoring & Response
n n Monitor email security gateways and dashboards for suspicious activities
n Analyse and respond to:
n Phishing emails
n Email Encryption
n Spam and spoofing attacks
n Malware/ransomware attachments
n Business Email Compromise (BEC)
n Perform initial triage and investigation of email security alerts
n Quarantine, block, or remove malicious emails from user mailboxes
n Escalate critical incidents to L2/L3 or SOC teams
n n Email Security Administration
n n Configure and manage email security tools such as:
n Microsoft Defender for Office 365
n Proofpoint / Mimecast / Trend Micro (as applicable)
n Manage email policies, rules, and threat filters
n Support safe links, secure attachments,
and anti‐phishing policies
n Review false positives and fine‐tune detection rule
n n Identity & Domain Protection
n n Support implementation and monitoring of:
n SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
n Detect and respond to email spoofing and domain impersonation
n Assist in securing privileged email accounts
