Job Description:

Position Summary
Della Resorts & Adventure is seeking an experienced and proactive Pest Control Manager to oversee the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme across the resort. The role is responsible for ensuring a pest-free environment by implementing preventive measures, coordinating with licensed pest control agencies, maintaining statutory compliance, and safeguarding guest comfort, food safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Pest Management Operations

- Develop, implement, and manage an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programme across the resort.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, banquet areas, stores, landscaping, staff facilities, and public areas to identify pest activity.
- Ensure timely treatment and preventive measures for rodents, insects, birds, termites, mosquitoes, and other pests.
- Monitor pest trends and implement proactive control measures to minimise infestations.

Vendor Management
- Coordinate and supervise external pest control contractors to ensure services are delivered as per contractual agreements and industry standards.
- Verify that all pest control activities are performed using approved chemicals and safe application methods.
- Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI guidelines, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and applicable environmental and health regulations.
- Maintain pest control records, inspection reports, treatment schedules, chemical usage logs, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare the property for internal, external, and regulatory audits.

Inspection & Monitoring
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly pest inspections across all operational areas.
- Identify high-risk areas and recommend corrective actions to eliminate pest entry points and breeding sites.
- Monitor bait stations, insect light traps (ILTs), rodent monitoring devices,



and other pest control equipment.

Preventive Maintenance
- Work closely with Engineering, Housekeeping, Landscaping, Stores, and Food & Beverage departments to eliminate structural and sanitation issues contributing to pest activity.
- Recommend repairs to cracks, drainage systems, doors, windows, ventilation, and other pest entry points.
- Ensure waste management and refuse disposal practices support pest prevention.

Training & Awareness
- Conduct pest awareness and prevention training for associates across departments.
- Educate employees on hygiene practices, waste management, pest reporting procedures, and preventive measures.
- Promote a culture of proactive pest prevention throughout the resort.

Health, Safety & Workplace
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of pesticides and pest control chemicals.
- Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Promote environmentally responsible and sustainable pest management practices with minimal impact on guests and wildlife.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Analyse pest activity trends and prepare monthly performance reports.
- Recommend improvements to pest control strategies based on inspection findings and audit outcomes.
- Investigate pest-related guest complaints and implement corrective actions promptly.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Biology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Hospitality Management, Facility Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Integrated Pest Management (IPM)



or Pest Control Management is preferred.
- HACCP, Food Safety, or FSSAI FoSTaC certification is an added advantage.

Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in pest control, environmental health, facility management, or quality assurance.
- Experience in luxury hotels, resorts, hospitals, food manufacturing, or large commercial facilities is highly preferred.
- Experience managing pest control contractors and audit compliance.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles.
- Understanding of FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, and environmental health regulations.
- Knowledge of pest biology, behaviour, and control methods.
- Excellent inspection, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and vendor management capabilities.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Good report writing and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Zero major pest infestations affecting guest areas or food operations.
- 100% completion of scheduled pest inspections and treatments.
- Compliance with all statutory, food safety, and environmental regulations.
- Timely closure of pest-related corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Reduction in pest-related guest complaints.
- Successful internal and external audit outcomes.
- Effective vendor performance and service delivery.
- Maintenance of accurate pest control documentation and records.

Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Environmental Science, Biology, Microbiology, Agriculture, Hospitality Management, Facility Management, or a related field

Minimum Job Experience: 5 - 8 years of experience in pest control, environmental health, facility management, or quality assurance
