The FP & A – Manager will serve as a strategic change agent within Principal Asset Management, helping to drive initiatives across Financial Management and Risk and Control domains. Financial Management oversight consists of proactive budget and expense management planning, oversight of committed activities and reporting within our Global Delivery location strategy, and close collaboration with business stakeholders to create a framework and model for unit costing of our functions. The Risk and Control domain focuses on key metrics that drive the health of our production BAU functions and ensuring reporting visibility into risk hotspots and solutions for mitigation. This role partners with stakeholders at all levels to break down intricate business processes and translate complex scenarios into clear, actionable strategies.
The incumbent will lead and drive ownership along with Sr. Leaders of strategy, planning, and execution and ensure stakeholders are managed throughout the process to achieve collective and cooperative outcomes. Whether leading an initiative directly or potentially managing junior team members in support of deliverables/outcomes, the Manager will be looked upon as a leader who will provide thought leadership, influence decisions, and ensure all communication channels (formal and informal) are actively managed at all levels.

Operational Excellence
· Champion continuous improvement and operational efficiency through financial management, risk management, and best practices. Plan and execute innovative operational delivery processes, including artificial intelligence (AI).
· Manage team members (formally or informally) across business, operations, and technology to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
· Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation. Actively monitor industry developments and benchmark key business metrics vs. best practices.
· Engage with Leadership at various level to understand the business functions, environment they operate in, assess key success criteria and propose ideas with the aim to implement them on ground.
· Review the Operational framework, what’s working well, what could be improved to ensure financial discipline.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
· Communicate complex strategies and progress updates to executive stakeholders with clarity and impact.
· Serve as a key liaison between business, technology, and operations teams to drive decisions, influence consensus, and socialize perspectives.
· Build and strengthen relationships with internal and external partners to drive alignment, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure continuous execution of key initiatives. Leverage strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, influence outcomes, and accelerate shared goals

Strategic Planning
· Participate in the development and execution of multi-year operational strategy in close collaboration with leadership and cross-functional prioritization teams.
· Champion business unit alignment by driving high-impact prioritization and resource allocation discussions, effectively aligning operational goals with broader business objectives, into actionable, results-driven roadmaps with clearly defined success metrics.

Qualifications
Describes the minimum education and experience, certifications, licenses, physical demands, working conditions and skill sets needed to perform the job.

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· 8+ years of related work experience in complex environments required
· Financial services or asset management preferred
· Strong problem solving and analytical background; examples include, but are not limited to: Business Administration, Finance, Operations & Technology, Risk Management
· Build Relationships with key stakeholders including at a senior level
· Strong communication skills required
· Ability to handle several tasks and priorities at one time
· Detail and results oriented, ability to work independently, and offer creative solutions to problems
