Job Summary: As a Technical Content Writer, you’ll create explicit, engaging documentation and tutorials that simplify complex SaaS features. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft user guides, release notes, and “how-to” content that enhances product understanding and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product documentationincluding:
- User guides and knowledge base articles
- Product feature documentation
- Release notes and “What’s New” updates
- Product tours and walkthroughs
- Develop “How-to” videos, tutorials, and quick-start demos that simplify product usage.
- Work with product and marketing teams to ensure consistency in voice, tone, and accuracy across all content.
- Continuously improve documentation based on feedback from internal teams and customers.
- Quickly learn new tools, products, and technologies to translate technical information into accessible content.
Must-Have Skills
- 2–3 years of experience as a Technical Writer, Content Specialist, or similar role in a SaaS or tech start-up environment.
- Proven ability to create user guides, release notes, and video tutorials.
- Good understanding of documentation tools is a plus (such as Readme, Intercom).
- Experience with video creation tools (such as Loom).
- Excellent command of written English with a focus on clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
- Fast learner with a strong willingness to explore and adopt new tools and workflows.
- High attention to detail and a mindset for precision and quality.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and SaaS product workflows.
- Familiarity with HTML, Markdown, or other documentation formats.
- Experience using AI-assisted writing or video tools.
- Knowledge of content analytics or documentation feedback loops.
