Job Description-

maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL database environments for the Emerson Black Box project.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with database administration, including ,
configuration, backup and recovery, and performance tuning. Prior experience in Azure ADO
environments and manufacturing domains would be an advantage. The PostgreSQL
Administrator will work in collaboration with a cross-functional team to ensure the
seamless operation of the database systems in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Years of experience :- 5+ Years

Roles and Responsiblities :-

• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in a production environment.

• Administer PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

• Implement security best practices, including user roles, permissions, and encryption, to
protect sensitive data.

• Perform regular upgrades, patches, and version upgrades of PostgreSQL instances to ensure
they are up-to-date and secure.





• Monitor database performance and optimize queries and server configurations.

• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.

• Manage user access and database security controls.

• Work with the development team to provide guidance on query optimization and database
design.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and system
outages.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL releases, features, and best practices.

• Collaborate with the team on improving automation and database management processes

• Ensure database systems are compliant with internal and external standards.

Qualification & skills :-

• 5+ years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration, including installation,
configuration, performance tuning, and high availability setups.
