MOST SIGNIFICANT basic competency is a MUST
- Monthly accounting of quality and accuracy
- Inventory accounting, in a manufacturing environment, with long job-work cycles. In this WIP accounting is the key.
We want a person whose grounding for initial 10-15 years is in hardcore Financial Accounting – Tally (or higher ERP), trial balance, monthly accounts, Profit & Loss / Balance Sheet / Cash Flow, Banking including Bank Reconciliation, getting annual audit etc. His exposure has to be preferably in a hard-core manufacturing environment.
Plant Accounting, Financial Reporting & MIS
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for plant operations in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for plant performance.
- Monitor plant-level P&L;, identify variances, and provide actionable insights.
- Generate and present MIS reports related to production cost, efficiency, and profitability.
Costing & Cost Control
- Manage product costing (standard & actual costing)
for hydraulic components and assemblies.
- Analyse material, labour, and overhead costs; highlight variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives in coordination with production and procurement teams.
Inventory & Stores Accounting
- Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and physical stock verification.
- Ensure proper accounting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual plant budgets in coordination with department heads.
- Track budget vs actual performance and highlight deviations.
- Support management in cost optimization and expense control initiatives.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc.) and internal policies.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors for plant audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) / B. Com (with relevant experience
