Job Description: SAS EG to Sigma Computing Migration Specialist

Overview

Seeking an experienced data professional to migrate SAS Enterprise Guide (SAS EG) reporting and light ETL workflows into Snowflake and Sigma Computing. Requires strong SAS, SQL, and cloud analytics expertise.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing SAS EG workflows and document business logic, data sources, and dependencies.
- Convert SAS logic into optimized Snowflake SQL, dynamic tables, stored procedures, and tasks for data munging SAS jobs where Sigma doesn’t make sense.
- Develop Sigma datasets and workbooks for SAS based reports and jobs.

Required Skills
- Advanced SAS programming (PROC SQL, data steps, macros).
- Solid Snowflake SQL including dynamic tables, tasks, and stored procedures.
- Experience developing Sigma datasets, formulas, and workbooks.




- Cloud ELT/ETL best practices and legacy logic modernization.

Soft Skills
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple migration threads independently.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ideally an overlap of schedule with business users which could be anywhere from EST to PST Deliverables
- Converted Snowflake objects replacing SAS EG jobs with mapping documentation.
- Sigma datasets/workbooks replacing SAS EG reports aligned with business requirements.
- Train internal teams to maintain and enhance new Snowflake objects and Sigma reports.
