Job Description Job Purpose
n To serve as the official face and voice of Chandigarh University's major institutional events by delivering engaging, professional, and high-energy stage presentations while ensuring seamless audience engagement, protocol adherence, and coordination with event stakeholders.
n Key Responsibilities
n • Anchor university-level events including Convocations, Orientation Programmes, Cultural Festivals, Academic Conferences, Sports Events, Award Ceremonies, VIP Visits, and National/International Conferences.
n • Conduct live stage hosting with confidence, professionalism, and excellent audience engagement.
n • Adapt anchoring style according to the nature of the event (formal, ceremonial, academic, cultural, entertainment, etc.). Script Development
n • Prepare and customize event scripts, stage flow, cue sheets, and announcements.
n • Coordinate with event managers, protocol teams, and organizing departments to ensure script accuracy.
n • Research speakers, guests, and event highlights for impactful introductions.
n • Work closely with the Event Production Team, Technical Team, Hospitality Team, Branding Team, and Protocol Team.
n • Coordinate backstage activities and ensure smooth event transitions.
n • Maintain event timelines and stage discipline.
n • Deliver announcements with excellent diction, pronunciation, voice modulation, and stage presence.
n • Handle unexpected situations on stage confidently.




n • Engage audiences through interactive sessions wherever appropriate.
n • Ensure proper introduction and acknowledgment of dignitaries as per protocol.
n • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during high-profile events.
n • Represent Chandigarh University in an exemplary manner.
n • Maintain repository of scripts, event reports, and stage documentation.
n • Support rehearsals and event dry runs.
n • Participate in planning meetings and post-event reviews.
n Qualifications & Skills:
n • Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Theatre, Performing Arts, Public Relations, Event Management, English, or any relevant discipline.
n • Postgraduate qualification in Mass Communication/Event Management shall be preferred.
n • 3–5 years of skilled experience in live event anchoring.
n • Experience in universities, media houses, event management companies, corporate events, or
n television/radio hosting will be preferred.
n • Portfolio of anchoring videos is mandatory.
n • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
n • Strong command over English and Hindi (Punjabi will be an added advantage).
n • Script writing and editing.
n • Event protocol knowledge.
n • Stage management.
n • Basic understanding of audio-visual equipment and event production.
