As the Area Head for Coating Support within the Fincoating Line Project, you will play a critical role in providing technical expertise and support to ensure the successful operation of the coating process. You will lead a team of coating technicians and support staff, manage resources, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize coating operations and drive project success.

Job Context & Major Challenges

Job Context:
We are currently embarking on an exciting Fincoating Line Project as part of our expansion initiatives. We are looking to hire a Area Head Coating Support for FC Coating project based at Taloja. The role will report to the Process Lead and is responsible for Commisioning of Coating and slitting line.
We are looking for an Engineering Professional from a premium institute with around 2-8 years of experience in coating process for metals. The role holder will be a part of the project team as Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineer in color coating that delivers commissioning of the project. This role is team member role. Exposure to Metal industry/ Rolling industry would be an added advantage. Post completion of the project this role will lead operations of Color coating.
The role holder will work closely with team of people spread across plants and corporate office.
1. Must prepare daily SOPs to be followed during and after stabilization to bring out best quality.
2. Must critically evaluate possible reasons for related problems right from initial phase, generate necessary action plans and ensure its proper implementation.
3. Must coordinate with other teams to meet standards after commissioning.
4.



Motivate self to develop best of practices to be carried for good quality output.
5. Affective coordination with all other departments to achieve targets.

KRA1Coating Process Optimization:Lead efforts to optimize coating processes, including substrate preparation, coating application, curing, and quality control, to achieve desired product specifications and performance.
Conduct trials, experiments, and process simulations to identify opportunities for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance coating quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with process engineers and technicians to troubleshoot coating issues, resolve technical challenges, and implement corrective actions.
KRA2Team Leadership and Development:Lead and motivate a team of coating technicians, operators, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to maximize productivity and quality.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, promoting skill enhancement and cross-training initiatives to build a versatile and capable coating support team.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, operating procedures,



and quality standards to maintain a safe and productive work setting.
KRA3Quality Assurance and Control:Implement quality control measures and inspection procedures to ensure the integrity and consistency of coated products, meeting customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to monitor and analyze coating performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to address deviations and non-conformities.
Conduct regular audits and process reviews to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for process improvement.
KRA4Equipment Maintenance and Reliability:Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans and schedules for coating equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform repairs, and implement upgrades or modifications as needed.
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement activities to support ongoing maintenance needs and minimize production disruptions.
KRA5Project Coordination and Collaboration:Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of coating support activities with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.
Provide regular updates on coating performance, production metrics, and project milestones to senior management and project stakeholders.
Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors to support coating-related procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
