Job Description Job Title: Sr.Manager/AGM – Fire & Safety
n Department: Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

n Experience Required: 10–18 years (preferably in heavy industry/steel manufacturing)
n Role Objective:
n To lead and implement proactive fire prevention, protection, and safety measures across the manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices, thereby fostering a culture of safety and emergency readiness.
n Key Responsibilities:
n Fire Safety & Emergency Response:
n n Plan, implement, and monitor fire safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, extinguishers, suppression systems, etc.)
n Lead emergency preparedness drills including fire mock drills, evacuation plans, and first-aid training.
n Maintain and upgrade firefighting equipment and systems as per BIS/NFPA standards.
n Coordinate with local fire authorities and emergency services for compliance and support.
n n Safety Management & Compliance:
n n Ensure adherence to all fire & safety-related legal and statutory requirements (Factories Act, NBC, OHSAS/ISO 45001).
n Develop and update SOPs, safety manuals, and fire safety protocols for all plant operations.
n Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and fire hazard analyses.




n Investigate fire incidents/near misses and implement corrective actions.
n n Training & Awareness:
n n Conduct regular safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.
n Build a safety-first culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
n n Coordination & Reporting:
n n Work closely with plant operations, EHS teams, and facility heads to enforce fire and safety norms.
n Prepare monthly safety reports, fire inspection logs, and MIS dashboards for top management review.
n n Key Requirements:
n Educational Qualifications:
n n Degree/Diploma in Fire & Safety Engineering from a recognized institute
n Preferably certified in NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar international safety standards
n n Experience:
n n 10–18 years of relevant experience in industrial fire safety, preferably in steel or heavy manufacturing industries
n Hands-on knowledge of safety systems implementation and firefighting infrastructure
n n Skills & Competencies:
n n Robust knowledge of fire protection systems and safety legislation
n Leadership in crisis and emergency handling
n Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills
n Proficient in MS Office and safety management tools
