Job Description: A Liaison Manager for a steel company bridges communication between the organization and external stakeholders—such as government bodies, regulatory authorities, and the community. - Government & Regulatory Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for district authorities, municipal corporations, and state/central government agencies. [1, 2]
- Permits & Clearances: Coordinate the acquisition and timely renewal of critical licenses, such as mining permits, forest clearances, and State Pollution Control Board (Consent to Establish/Operate) certificates. [1]
- Land & Power Liaisoning: Facilitate end-to-end land acquisition processes (including land-use conversion) and coordinate with state electricity boards for power load sanctions. [1, 2]
- Compliance Management: Ensure company operations strictly adhere to environmental, mining, labor, and safety regulations. [1, 2, 3]
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with local communities,

- Institutional Sales & Tenders (If applicable): Facilitate vendor registrations with PSUs, track government infrastructure budgets, and assist in commercial bidding processes. [1]

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Relations, Law, or Engineering. An MBA is typically preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of relevant liaisoning or public relations experience, specifically within the mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry sectors.
- Qualified Network: A pre-existing, strong network with local and regional government officials.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and written communication skills.
- Legal Knowledge: A strong understanding of statutory compliance, land laws, and environmental regulations.
