Job Description:
■ Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager – Talent Acquisition to anchor the complete recruitment lifecycle for Client's manufacturing operations and corporate functions. The incumbent will be the primary driver of sourcing strategy, stakeholder management, and hiring execution — ensuring the right talent reaches the right role at the right time.
■ Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment Management
- Own the complete recruitment cycle – manpower requisition, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding – across all levels and functions.
- Drive hiring for blue-collar, grey-collar, and white-collar positions within manufacturing plants and corporate offices.
- Ensure adherence to defined Turnaround Time (TAT) and quality-of-hire benchmarks.
Sourcing & Talent Pipelining
- Leverage multiple sourcing channels – Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed, Shine, walk-in drives, campus recruitment, agencies and employee referrals.
- Build and maintain a proactive talent pipeline for critical, recurring, and niche roles.
- Develop and sustain relationships with placement agencies, ITIs, polytechnics, and engineering colleges.
Stakeholder & Candidate Management
- Partner closely with Plant Heads, Department Managers, and business leaders to understand manpower needs and role expectations.
- Conduct structured HR interviews, assess cultural and technical fitment, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout.
- Manage offer rollouts, pre-joining communication, and pre-employment documentation.
MIS, Analytics & Compliance
- Track and report recruitment metrics – open positions, TAT, cost per hire, offer acceptance ratio, and source effectiveness.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Applicant Tracking System (ATS) / HRMS.
- Ensure all hiring practices comply with company policy, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
Employer Branding & Workforce Planning
- Represent at job fairs, campus events, and industry networking forums.
- Support annual manpower budgeting and workforce planning activities.
- Contribute to employer branding initiatives and promote the organisation as an employer of choice.
■ Candidate Profile & Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Graduate in any discipline – Mandatory
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or related specialisation – Preferred / Significant Advantage
Work Experience
- Minimum 1 - 4 years of hands-on, end-to-end recruitment experience is mandatory.
- Experience must include substantial exposure to a Manufacturing / Industrial / Production environment.
- Proven track record in handling high-volume bulk hiring as well as specialised / leadership roles.
- Prior experience with blue-collar workforce hiring (operators, technicians, supervisors) is highly desirable.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in job portals: Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Shine, and social sourcing.
- Strong communication, interviewing, and salary negotiation skills.
- Hands-on with ATS / HRMS tools and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple positions simultaneously and deliver within strict timelines.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation, labour compliance, and HR best practices.
- Target-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders.
