Job Title: R&D; Engineer / Automation Engineer
Location: Mumbai

Job Summary

The R&D;/Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing automated systems across mechanical and digital environments. The role includes developing recent products, improving existing systems, and integrating advanced automation technologies to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Automation in Manufacturing

- Study existing manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities.

- Implement automation systems to achieve consistent results, desired quality, and productivity improvements.

Robotic Automation

- Evaluate, install, and configure collaborative robots (cobots).

- Integrate hardware components including PLCs, SMPS, relays, safety systems, power modules, and PCBs with robotic platforms.

Software & System Communication

- Understand and configure control software and communication interfaces for robots and automation equipment.

Design & Development

- Create hardware and automation layouts using Rhino, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.

Programming





- Develop applications using C++ and Java.

- Perform robotic programming on platforms like Dobot Blocky, KUKA, Universal Robots, etc.

- Develop autonomous robotic programming solutions.

Documentation

- Maintain program documentation and store in server repositories.

- Prepare SOPs, development documents, and periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly).

- Collaborate with production teams and record issues or suggestions.

Innovation & R&D;

- Research market trends, identify new ideas, and implement innovative automation solutions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Engineering in Automation, Robotics, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields.
