Job Description: A Senior Accountant manages daily accounting operations, prepares financial reports, ensures compliance, and analyzes financial data, often overseeing junior staff; key duties include accounts payable/receivable, general ledger reconciliation, month/year-end closing, budgeting, financial analysis, audit support, and improving internal controls, reporting to finance managers or directors. Key Responsibilities

- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain the general ledger, perform complex account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet), and post journal entries.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR): Oversee processing, verification, and reconciliation of invoices and payments.
- Analysis & Budgeting: Analyze financial data, variance analysis (budget vs. actuals), and assist with forecasting and budgeting.
- Internal Controls: Develop, document, and strengthen accounting policies and internal controls.
- Audits:



Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Tax: Assist with tax compliance and preparation of tax returns (sales tax, payroll tax, etc.).
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and delegate tasks to junior accountants and bookkeepers.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and month-end close.

Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Accounting Manager, Finance Director, Controller, or CFO.
