Job Description:

The Senior Production Engineer will oversee sheet metal processing activities (press shop, bending, laser, and assembly) to meet daily production targets with high quality and safety standards. They will act as a subject matter expert on sheet metal forming, troubleshooting tools, optimizing processes (OEE/TPM/Lean), and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Production Operations & Planning: Manage daily production schedules, manpower allocation, and machine utilization (Press Shop/Fabrication) to meet daily/weekly targets.
- Sheet Metal Fabrication Expertise: Oversee processes including shearing, Turret Punch Press (Amada/Trumpf), CNC Bending, Laser Cutting, and Welding (MIG/TIG/Spot).
- Tooling & Die Management: Ensure proper maintenance, setup, and troubleshooting of press tools, progressive tools, and combination tools.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Perform first-piece approvals, implement Poka-Yoke,



and ensure compliance with ISO standards and engineering drawings.
- Process Improvement (Lean/Kaizen): Drive productivity improvement projects, reduce rejections, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Safety & 5S: Maintain a high standard of workplace safety, discipline, and 5S compliance on the shop floor.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly MIS reports, including machine breakdown, tool failures, and manpower utilization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 4–7 years in sheet metal manufacturing, specifically within the home appliances, automotive, or precision sheet metal industry.
