Patent Drafting Assistance: Assist in preparing patent application documents,
including specifications, claims, and drawings.
Prior Art Searching and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive prior art searches
using specialized patent databases (USPTO, EPO, Orbit, Google Patents) to
assess the novelty and non-obviousness of new inventions. Summarize search
results for R&D; engineers.
Inventor Disclosure Process: Manage the intake and tracking of invention
disclosures from R&D; teams and assist with preliminary patentability
assessments.
Patent Portfolio Management: Help maintain the patent docket, track
deadlines, and monitor the status of pending applications.
Trademark Clearance and Search: Conduct and analyze trademark clearance
searches to evaluate the availability and registrability of proposed new brand
names, logos, and slogans.
Monitoring and Enforcement Support:
Conduct online monitoring for potential
trademark infringement and assist in gathering evidence for enforcement or
opposition proceedings.
Ideal Candidate:
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law or a related
field. Patent Agents are also encouraged to apply.
* Ability to conduct thorough research using various databases and resources.
* Robust analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to
distinguish subtle differences between similar technologies.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability
to synthesize complex legal or technical information clearly and accurately.
* Interest in intellectual property law, patents, and innovation.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Technical background or degree in Electrical Engineering (preferable not
required) for better understanding of invention disclosures.
