Description
As part of our ongoing commitment to physical security, we are seeking a skilled Physical Security Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of maintaining a protected and secure environment and committed to safeguarding our assets, employees, and visitors. Additionally, the role involves providing exceptional customer support and handling security-related queries to ensure a secure and efficient environment. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Physical Security. In addition, this role will frequently be partnered with the Facilities, Technology, Compliance, and Internal Audit Teams.
The day-to-day Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Monitoring access control and CCTV systems for alerts and errors
- Programming & troubleshooting security systems
- Managing new security projects and installations
- Commissioning of new systems
- Performing maintenance and upgrades on current systems
- Managing and working with security vendors during installations
- Maintaining programming documentation for security systems
- Maintain security technical standards
- Working with IT on system issues and projects
- Assisting with and providing requested evidence for audits.
- Assisting in conducting investigations
- Conduct site physical risk analysis
- Respond to request or incident tickets
- Provide technical support to the Physical Security Team
Essential Traits
- Excellent working knowledge (5 years’ experience, minimum) of:
- Installation of door access control and CCTV systems
- Software House CCure 9000 door access control system
- Good working knowledge (3 years’ experience, minimum) of:
- Tyco ExacqVision CCTV NVR systems
- Axis camera technologies
- 2N intercom systems
- Appreciation of Fire/Health & Safety/Electrical Regulations
- Willing to travel globally.
- Ability to work without direct supervision or direction.
- CCure 9000 or ExacqVision certifications a plus.
