Job Description:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Maintain HT/LT panels, MCCs, PCCs, transformers, DG sets, UPS systems, APFC panels, and power distribution systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize equipment downtime.
- Monitor electrical parameters and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Maintain and calibrate field instruments such as pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical instruments.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, control panels, sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
- Perform loop checking, calibration, commissioning, and testing of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of process automation and control systems.
- Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance history, calibration records, and equipment documentation.
- Ensure availability of critical electrical and instrumentation spares.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and statutory regulations.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and other safe work practices.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and electrical inspections.
- Maintain proper housekeeping as per 5S standards.
Documentation
- Update electrical drawings, cable schedules, and instrument records.
- Prepare maintenance reports, root cause analysis (RCA), and breakdown reports.
- Coordinate with vendors for AMC activities, spare procurement, and technical support.
- Good knowledge of electrical distribution systems and industrial instrumentation.
- Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and VFD troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of calibration techniques and field instrumentation.
