Job Summary: The HSE Officer for MEP Construction is responsible for implementing and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs at construction sites & plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: • Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with local, regional, and national standards. • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards. • Ensure that all employees are covered under ESI, PF, Medical Insurance. • Get Health check ups done as a part of employee induction. • Conduct Daily Tool Box Meetings. • Obtain all necessary permits before commencing work. • Check all tools and tackles and all PPE and tag them as safe to use.
2 Risk Assessment: • Conduct risk assessments for MEP construction activities and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
• Work closely with project teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution.
- Incident Management: • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures. • Collaborate with relevant parties to develop and implement corrective action plans.
4.Training and Awareness: • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for construction site personnel, emphasizing protected work practices and emergency procedures.
- Emergency Response: • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills to ensure preparedness. • Collaborate with emergency services and local authorities to enhance emergency response capabilities. • Get a Hospital Tie Up • Coordinate with external parties for Emergency Vehicle use if needed.
