Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Scientist/Chemist with a Ph.D. or MSc in Organic Chemistry from a reputed institute and 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in R&D;, Process Development, and Scale-up. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in synthetic organic chemistry, coupled with expertise in designing and optimizing chemical processes for the production of pharmaceutical intermediates or fine chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle Technology Transfer from our existing R & D Center and other partners and successfully implement the process at the Plant.
- Lead and manage research projects focused on the development and optimization of synthetic routes for target molecules.
- Design and execute experiments to explore new synthetic methodologies and reaction conditions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams to drive process improvements and ensure successful scale-up from laboratory to pilot plant and manufacturing facilities.
- Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
- Stay current with the latest developments in organic chemistry and contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patent applications and publications.
- Mentor and train junior scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or MSc in Organic Chemistry from a reputable institute.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in R&D;, Process Development, and Scale-up within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industry.
- Proficiency in contemporary synthetic organic chemistry techniques, including reaction design, purification, and characterization of organic compounds.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and managing research projects from conception to commercialization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and optimize chemical processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and present technical findings to stakeholders.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and cGMP practices is preferred.
