Description of Essential Duties:
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers, overseeing design engineering support for New Product Development (NPD), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), and improvement projects. Ensure alignment with global engineering standards and practices.
- Develop comprehensive project plans for Current Product Introduction (NPI) and improvement initiatives, managing resources, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead the team in executing a range of design projects from concept to production, ensuring quality in CAD modeling (using Sledworks), Bills of Materials (BOM),
and Change Orders. Provide technical expertise while also setting strategic direction for project outcomes.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering technical growth and autonomy. Ensure that the team rapidly acquires and assimilates product knowledge for effective project execution.
- Oversee the design and development of parts and assemblies, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive design packages that include 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures. Ensure all work meets organizational quality and schedule requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between cross-functional teams across global locations. Lead regular project reviews with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that design requirements, timelines, and deliverables are met.
