About the role
We are looking for sharp, curious, and research-oriented law students to join the Legal & Compliance team at smallcase.
As a fintech operating in the capital markets, we are expanding into technology-led products across banking, insurance, and global offerings. Our team sits at the forefront of these launches, and we are looking for a sharp intern with a high aptitude for legal research, interpretation, and critical thinking to support our growth.
What you’ll be doing:

Regulatory Intelligence: Tracking and summarizing updates from SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, and IFSCA, while reviewing SAT/SEBI adjudication orders to identify emerging trends that can impact our businesses.

Deep-Dive Research: Conducting the groundwork for new product features and preparing comparison tables to track legislative shifts.

Gap Analysis:
Performing assessments of our internal policies against recent regulations to ensure we stay ahead of the curve.

Strategic Support: Assisting with regulatory mapping of product features and supporting the execution of key legal contracts.

Learning Outcome & Mentorship
At smallcase, interns are an integral part of our legal operations. Under our direct guidance, students will learn to layer strategic business nuances over legal drafts. This role is intended to build both legal acumen and business knowledge, helping the candidate develop into a holistic professional ready for the modern fintech landscape.
