Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies to design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IMS, JCL, COBOL, and DB2, along with a strong understanding of application development, maintenance, and production support in a Mainframe environment.Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications.- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.- Develop and enhance applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS, and DB2.- Perform impact analysis and support application modernization initiatives.- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.- Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications,
and test cases.- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful project delivery.- Support deployment activities and post-production stabilization.- Optimize application performance and improve system reliability.Required Skills : - Strong hands-on experience in : 1. COBOL2. JCL3. IMS DB / IMS DC4. IBM DB2- Experience in Mainframe application development and support.- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.- Knowledge of batch processing and online transaction systems.- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.- Ability to work in a rapid-paced and collaborative environment.Preferred Skills : - Exposure to Mainframe modernization projects.- Experience in Banking, Insurance, Retail, or Financial Services domains.- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
