WSP India is currently seeking a Principal Engineer – Process for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects (Materials Handling Infrastructure). They shall be responsible for engineering design of Process with WSP Engineering and Client Standards. Previous experience in an EPCM environment in the O & G, Power plant, Chemical process plant, Mining processing industry is an asset.
A Team player and willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in Australia. The position will be for Bangalore/Noida location.

Responsibilities
About the role:
We are seeking a Principal Process Engineer to support mining infrastructure projects across Australia, with a robust focus on pumping systems, pipeline networks, and water management systems.
This is a hybrid role combining process engineering, hydraulic analysis, and pipeline/pumping system design, rather than a conventional EPC-style discipline role.
The position will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and interface with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and India.
Technical Leadership




- Lead design and analysis of:
- Pumping systems (HP pumps, transfer systems)
- Pipeline and network systems (water, slurry, dewatering)
- Define system philosophy:
- Pumping strategy and operating scenarios
- Overpressure and surge protection philosophy
- Brownfield integration and tie-ins
- Provide technical assurance and review of key deliverables

Undertake and lead process design work for projects and studies including typical activities and deliverables: -
- Concept design and layout development
- Process descriptions and design basis
- Material balances
- Preparation of process flow diagrams & piping and instrumentation diagrams
- Hazardous area classification/assessment
- Preparation of equipment lists, equipment datasheets, specifications
- Fluids lists and materials selection
- Process hazard studies (including HAZOP) and design safety reviews
- SIL assessment
- Process basis of saf
