Job Description Essentra Components is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of a comprehensive range of components. We are currently hiring a Regional FP&A; Manager (APAC) reporting to the Global Operations Finance Director focusing on FP&A; matters. This is a sole contributor role, one of the key members of APAC Finance Team, supporting business with c.£49m turnover with multiple sites presence within APAC. This role requires business partnering with sites leaders, P&L; owners and working closely with APAC leadership team as well as global finance team.

n n Reporting & Controls
n n n Analyse, challenge and interpret the month end results to provide detailed analysis and insight into variances in sales, margin, overhead and working capital.
n Produce bridging and commentary between Actuals, Budgets and Forecasts. Understand and explain the causes for large variances, provide documented commentary and challenge the variances with the sites.
n Help steer the messaging and content of the Components APAC month end reporting pack to ensure the correct insights and actions are communicated to management.
n Lead analysis of all areas of the P&L; to identify opportunities and propose actions to improve profitability of APAC Region.
n Develop value adding reporting and review processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and timeliness of information and deliver additional insight.
n Own the Capex control & reporting process to identify spending risks and ensure expected efficiencies are delivered.
n n 2. Forecasting & Planning
n n Deliver the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process for APAC region to ensure a rigorous, insightful output.




n Drive the forecast and annual budget process with the sites to ensure numbers are pressure tested for both commercial and financial integrity.
n n 3. Business Partnering
n n Key point of contact for the APAC Leadership Team as well as APAC Managing Director
n Gain buy in from operational managers and become a credible part of the regional commercial and operations teams as well as an integral part of the finance team.
n Build relationships and understand the commercial aspects of the business to become a key finance point of contact for the APAC businesses
n Support investment appraisals within the sites and offer guidance where required, as well as helping to identify and track perks arising from investment opportunities.
n Supporting the APAC business, providing analysis, challenge and commercial support to improve business performance and aid decision making.
n Manage profit enhancement plans to ensure delivery of gross margin and operating profit targets through monthly reporting on Cost saving Initiatives end ensuring agreed efficiencies are delivered.
n Identify opportunities for improvement and ensure they are driven through to completion.
n n Job Requirements
n n Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance or Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with good academics & experience (c5 yrs + PQE).
n Previous experience within a financial planning role and/or FP&A; Manager role in a manufacturing environment.




n Experience of working in fast paced, dynamic environments.
n Experience of working with stakeholders of differing levels of seniority up to and including directors.
n Ability to work with non-financial stakeholders to provide value adding financial support, challenge and analysis.
n Ability to display insight by manipulating linking multiple data sources (both internal & external) in different ways to provide value adding recommendations.
n Use insight to proactively identify areas of improvement and working on own initiative.
n Highly organised / structured approach, with the ability to co-ordinate a large number tasks simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met with clear, logical plans and foresight to pre-empt obstacles.
n Build relationships across the business to ensure delivery of tasks.
n Advise key stakeholders using technical expertise and experience.
n Own delivery of targets and hold relevant people accountable for delivery.
n Ability to overcome obstacles whilst maintaining professionalism and stay motivated.
n Share best practice amongst the team and work collaboratively to deliver to achieve team's objectives.

n Able to work effectively under pressure to deliver high quality work.
n Comfortable using numerous accounting packages with a good understanding of systems and ability to understand data quickly.
n Good Powerpoint and presenting skills, comfortable presenting to, and receiving challenge from, senior management.
n Advanced Excel skills to enable manipulation of multiple data sources to deliver detailed analytics.
