Job Title: Credit Manager – Home Loans

Job Purpose:

To assess, analyze, and approve home loan proposals as per the credit policy of the organization, ensuring minimal delinquency and compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Assessment:

Evaluate home loan proposals based on income documents, banking, credit bureau reports, property documents, and other risk parameters.

Conduct personal discussions (PD) where required and provide recommendations.

2. Underwriting & Approval:

Approve files within assigned credit authority limits.

Recommend and escalate cases exceeding authority levels with proper justification.

3. Policy Implementation:

Ensure adherence to internal credit policy, regulatory norms (RBI, NHB), and KYC guidelines.

Provide feedback to policy team for potential changes based on market trends.

4. Risk Management:

Identify fraud indicators and conduct risk-based verifications.





Work with legal and technical teams for thorough due diligence on property and title checks.

5. Portfolio Monitoring:

Monitor the portfolio for early delinquencies and high-risk indicators.

Collaborate with collections and sales teams to reduce NPAs.

6. Stakeholder Management:

Liaise with sales, operations, legal, and technical teams for smooth processing.

Conduct training for sales and field staff on documentation and risk norms.

7. System and Documentation:

Maintain updated MIS and dashboards.

Ensure proper documentation and data entry in LOS/LMS systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, or related fields (CA/MBA preferred)

3–7 years of experience in home loan credit underwriting

Familiarity with credit bureaus, income assessment (salaried/self-employed), property documentation
