KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (K.P.A.s) & RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control Support
- Assist in developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality.
Product Inspections
- Conduct product inspections to verify conformity to specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
Non-Conformance Resolution
- Receive and record suppliers' non-conformance issues.
- Resolve quality-related suppliers' non-conformance by discussing with suppliers, purchasers, and expeditors.
- Differentiate between internal and external error sources before approaching suppliers for resolution.
Quantity Related Non-Conformance
- Identify quantity-related suppliers' non-conformance and communicate these to purchasers for resolution with suppliers.
Testing and Certification
- Participate in product testing, including destructive and non-destructive testing, and ensure the issuance of required quality certificates.
Technical Documentation Preparation
- Collaborate with expeditors to check for technical documentation requirements in sales order files.
- Prepare job-specific Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) if internal technical documents are required.
- Obtain lab testing procedures from the laboratory and send them for customer approval if needed.
Supplier Collaboration
- Work with suppliers to understand quality expectations, participate in supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance.
Documentation and Records
- Maintain records of quality control activities, inspection results, and certifications.
Technical Documentation for Customer Approval
- Obtain necessary technical documentation from suppliers for customer approval before manufacturing.
- Track all documents needing customer approval and ensure they are approved before material production.
Third-Party Inspections (TPI)
- Arrange TPI at the organization's end for
