This role is essentially the "Quality guardian" for high-precision manufacturing. Since it requires Aluminium Forging or Auto Component experience, the focus is on managing the rigorous standards required by OEMs.
- Lead the core quality activities for current parts using APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to ensure a smooth transition from design to mass production.
- Prepare and submit PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation to customers, ensuring all requirements (Control Plans, FMEA, Flow Charts) are met.
2. Process Control & Analysis
- Monitor manufacturing stability using SPC (Statistical Process Control) to identify trends and prevent defects before they happen.
- Conduct MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis)
to ensure that all gauges and equipment are providing accurate and reliable data.
3. Quality Systems Management
- Maintain and audit the IATF 16949 standards to ensure the plant remains certified and compliant with global automotive requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to reduce internal rejection rates (PPM).
4. Customer Liaison & Problem Solving
- Act as the primary point of contact for Customer Complaint Handling.
- When issues arise, lead root cause analysis using 8D methodology or 5-Why analysis to implement permanent corrective actions
