Job Description:

Job Overview:
A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that machinery, equipment, and facilities in an
organization are in good working condition. This includes performing regular maintenance,
troubleshooting issues, and conducting repairs to avoid downtime and enhance efficiency in production
or operational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive Maintenance:
 Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules of Cranes, Welding Machines,
Press Machines, cutting m/c etc. to minimize equipment breakdowns.
 Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify and address
potential issues.
 Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
2. Troubleshooting and Repair:
 Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues with equipment and machinery.
 Perform timely repairs and replace faulty components of m/c to reduce downtime.
 Coordinate with external contractors or service providers when necessary for specialized
repairs.
3. Safety and Compliance:




 Ensure that all machinery and equipment comply with safety standards and regulations.
 Conduct safety checks and audits of equipment and systems.
 Train team members on protected equipment use and preventive maintenance protocols.
4. Equipment Installation:
 Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment, ensuring it meets operational
requirements.
 Collaborate with vendors or suppliers to understand the technical specifications and
installation procedures.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
 Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
 Prepare reports on the condition of equipment, downtime, and repairs for management
review.
 Develop and update maintenance manuals and procedures.

6. Spare Parts and Inventory Management:
 Monitor and maintain an inventory of essential spare parts and equipment.
 Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of necessary component
