A professional with 8 to 12 years of experience in mould design,
responsible for developing high-precision moulds and fixtures for various product
requirements. This role involves performing mould flow analysis, leading trials, and
addressing design-related challenges. The focus is on continuous improvement to
optimize tool performance, cycle time, and product quality. Expertise in 3D CAD
software and ERP systems is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
Mould Design: Design and develop high-precision moulds tailored to various
product requirements, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and functional
standards.
Fixture Design: Create and develop fixtures for secondary processes such
as printing, Ultrasonic welding, riveting, assembly etc. to enhance productivity
and improve product performance.
Mould Flow Analysis: Conduct and evaluate mould flow simulations to
ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues related to material
flow, cooling, and venting.
Trials & Troubleshooting: Lead the trials and validation of moulds,
addressing any issues that arise during the process. Collaborate closely with
the tool room to troubleshoot design-related challenges.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in design enhancements
based on feedback from the production floor and trial results. Provide
solutions aimed at reducing cycle time, improving part quality, and optimizing
tool life.
Position Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical / Tool Engineering or Equivalent from reputed Tool Engineering institutes.
Design Software Expertise: Proficiency in 3D CAD design software such as
Solid Edge and NX, enabling the independent design and development of
moulds.
Mould Flow Analysis: Solid understanding and hands-on experience in
conducting mould flow analysis to optimize mould designs and prevent
defects.
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting skills
focused on
