About The Role: We are seeking a Backend Engineer with insurance technology experience to design and deliver scalable backend solutions for enterprise insurance clients. You will contribute to the development and integration of core insurance systems, working within a globally distributed delivery team on mission-critical engagements.

Location: Hyderabad, India (Hybrid)
Experience: 4-8 years
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for insurance technology platforms
- Integrate with core insurance systems including policy administration, billing, and claims
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, BAs, and architects to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
- Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments
- Support UAT, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization




- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

What We're Looking For:
- 4-8 years of backend engineering experience
- Solid proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, .NET/C#, or Python
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with insurance technology platforms or core systems (policy, billing, claims)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:
- Experience with platforms such as Duck Creek, Guidewire, or InsureMO
- Exposure to event-driven architecture or messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Domain knowledge in P&C; or life insurance
- Experience working with globally distributed delivery teams
